November's new and existing-home sales reports are scheduled to be released today. If one of the earliest reports released is any indication, it may not be good.
Columbus, Ohio saw a 26 percent drop-off in existing home sales from November 2007, according to reports released by the Columbus Board of Realtors. It was the largest plunge of the year.
Seeing that this isn't the best news for Columbus real estate, I checked the stats of Delta Media Group's two largest and oldest clients in the Columbus region. It turns out that both real estate brokerages significantly increased their online leads and prospect portfolio creations last month from November 2007, even while the market had a 26 percent decrease.
In fact, one brokerage gained 150 percent more leads and 328 percent more portfolio creations, while the other gained 350 percent more leads and 21 percent more portfolio creations from November 2007. [I don't have permission yet to disclose either brokerage's name, but one has around 100 agents while the other has about 30].
